Lung Cancer Drug Trial

by Beth Galvin, MyFoxAtlanta.com
Wedneday, August 18th, 2010

At age 28, Lindsay Gomes, a non-smoker, was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer.  The Florida lung cancer patient is getting a new lease on life thanks to a drug in clinical trials in Colorado.

Only 23 people in the world have been treated with the drug so far, but almost all of them have had dramatic responses.

A doctor in the trial hopes all lung cancer patients will be tested for the protein, to see if they can get the drug still in clinical trials through Pfizer.
